Lesson 5:Associated mind map

We are given an object, mortar & pestle. Create logical mind map on mortar & pestle.

First -swimming-
We can use mortar to cover the nose or mouth, and another hand use pestle to pull the water and swim.
Second -cook-
We can use mortar as the pot, we put our dishes inside and we use pestle to cook. It hard to get cook. But well, when we go for camp, why not we try to use it?
Third - music -Other than that, we can use mortar and pestle as music instrument. We just need to knock each other.

Forth - health -
To use mortar and pestle to cure our headache, we just need to cover our head and knock 50times.
Fifth - exercise -
We can use pestle as the gym equipment. To train our muscle. While mortar as jumper.
By using our creativity, actually mortar and pestle can be used in many ways. But not stereotypes on certain ways of mortar and pestle.

5 things that can represent me

5 things that can represent me:
Music
I think everyone loved music. For me, why music can represent me? Maybe because i had been affected by my friends. While doing things, listen to music can let me feel relax. Ideas easily flow in my mind.

Colors
As a creative student, colors can reflex certain object/ things. For examples, when we look at the red icon/sign, our mind will officially think off red color object represent dangerous. White color represent peace? or else other color represent what when it comes to our mind. So I hope that my life can be fulfilled with colors. Go through all that may happen in my life.

Fireworks
I want to be myself. I am just one of me in this world. I am not attractive. But i want to be like fireworks, few minutes charming. So that i can stand myself out from others.

Ferris wheel
I want to sit Ferris wheel upon in the sky. I hope i can explore myself more than now. Look from outside.

Footsteps
Lastly, footsteps. Walk through step by step to reach my high distinction in my life.

Lesson 3:Mind Map

Mind map is one kind of technique for us to jot down the important notes. It is a diagram that used to represent words, ideas, tasks, or other items linked together under a theme of topic or key words.

Mind maps can be used for:

  • problem solving
  • outline/framework design
  • anonymous collaboration
  • marriage of words and visuals
  • individual expression of creativity
  • condensing material into a concise and memorable format
  • team building or synergy creating activity
  • enhancing work morale

A mind map guidelines suggested by Tony Buzan,

  1. Start in the center with an image of the topic, using at least 3 colors.
  2. Use images, symbols, codes, and dimensions throughout your Mind Map.Select key words and print using upper or lower case letters.
  3. Each word/image is best alone and sitting on its own line.
  4. The lines should be connected, starting from the central image. The central lines are thicker, organic and flowing, becoming thinner as they radiate out from the centre.
  5. Make the lines the same length as the word/image they support.
  6. Use multiple colors throughout the Mind Map, for visual stimulation and also to encode or group.
  7. Develop your own personal style of Mind Mapping.
  8. Use emphasis and show associations in your Mind Map.
  9. Keep the Mind Map clear by using radial hierarchy, numerical order or outlines to embrace your branches.

We can make mind map by ourself. It used to generate, visualize, structure and classify ideas, and as an aid in study, organization, problems solving, decision making , and writing. I think as the creative student like us, mind map allows us to remember the notes more easily while just jotting down the notes fulled with words. Be stupid -Diesel-

While through i am finding my researches, i found this video from Diesel's website.. The words bring some meaning in another way:

" Like balloons, we are filled with hopes and dreams. "
But over time, a single sentence creeps into our lives...
DON'T BE STUPID! Is the crusher of possibility. Is the world greatest deflator.
The world is fulled of smart people; Doing all kinds of smart things. Thats smart. Well we are with the stupid.
Stupid is the relentless pursuit. Of a regret free life. Smart may have the brain. But stupid has the balls.
Smart recognizes things for how they are. Stupid see things for how they could be.
Smart critiques. Stupid creates. The facts we didn't have stupid thoughts. We'd have no interesting thoughts at all.
Smarts have the plans. But stupid has the stories.
Smart may have the authority, But stupid has one hell of hangover.
It's not smart to take risks, is stupid take to be stupid.
Stupid is to be brave. Stupid isn't afraid to fail. Stupid knows there are worse things than FAILURE.
Like not even trying. Smart had good idea.
And that idea was stupid. You can't outsmart stupid. So don't even try.
Remember only stupid can be truly. BRILLIANT.

Lesson 2: Novelty,Creativity,Innovation,Invention

Novelty= the quality of being "NEW".
Novelty can be somethings old contrast with new things. It can be change or create to be new from before. Originality is not novelty. To get ourself been in novelty, we need to bring somethings new from old.

Creativity= the generation of new ideas or a new ways of doing things.
Human has their own perception of thinking and viewing, what we can do is to explore and it will be different from others.

Innovation= is a change in the thought process for doing something or "new stuff that is made useful".
In this modern era, innovation allows humans to keep changing to make their life different. To called an innovation, an idea must be replicable at an economic cost and must satisfy a specific need.

Inventors= those who take existing knowledge and create NEW ideas.

Novelty, Creativity, Innovation & Inventors can change us from before. Start with Zero, ended with infinity.
